Antique Late Victorian Pronged Eyed Soft Toy Monkey - 17x16x16cm.
Unusual in appearance, suggestive of the dark Victorian overtones - macabre freak shows, etc; in a sitting position with hands aloft, soft fabric hand-sown body, pronged button eyes, black fine hair fringe on head area, a considerably long tail, & a makeshift chain around the neck. A really wonderful period toy.

Condition: Used - some staining near to one shoulder & slight wear of fabric opposite side (see photos); very slight fraying in a few areas - hands, feet; underside of tail shows a fine split revealing a bit of the stuffing. Also a slight odour & mustiness. However, pleas bare in mind that this is an antique item that will show signs of use & wear commensurate with its age. Thank you.
