This is an 18thC South Staffordshire enamel patch box with a hand painted scene on the lid showing a nice little riverside landscape scene.
I think this has been restored as the lid is cracked and the paint work all around the edge looks redone. It's really hard to see, but I'm sure this is repair and restoration?

The box has a pretty hand painted floral pattern base.
No maker's marks etc.

Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition. There are normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs etc.
There are some cracks through the enamelling which I have done my best to show fully in the pictures above. As mentioned, I believe that the border of the lid has been restored.
The mirror on the inner lid is tarnished.

It measures approx. 46mm x 36mm x 22mm.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.

If you see A/F = a/f in the title or description it means "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage.
