This is a hugely popular Bicentennial commemorative coin.
The RAM issued its first-ever NCLT (non-circulating legal tender) coin in 1985 - the $10 coin marking 150 years of settlement in Victoria.
The RAM went on to issue a coin for each of the other states and Territories in Australia, this was a hugely popular series right around the country.
Australian memorabilia was in a boom period right throughout the Bicentennial year, coins were particularly popular as they were officially produced by the Australian government and were affordable.
The Bicentennial $10 coin was the highest value silver collectable coin released by the RAM for the Bicentennial in 1988.
The coin, case, outer shipper and certificate are all included and remain in excellent condition.
