Bond here. C.G Bond.

Attorney at Law in Jackson Tennessee, proud home of the Tennessee Supreme Court for West Tennessee, so I get a bit of appellate work. And there's the occasional matter involving one of the railroads coming through here. But mostly it's your run of the mill civil case and petty criminal offense that pays the bills.

There's a lot of to-do over the county poll tax and once in a while someone around here gets lynched but that's none of my doing.

Speaking of paying bills, I just got a spanking fresh stack of personalized checks from First National right around the corner. My, what a nice Lady Liberty right there in the middle, just like on that hundred year old dollar my daddy gave me.  What would happen if someone found one of these beauties a hundred years from now....

Uh-oh, I hear creaking on the stairs. Must be Judge Parker coming up to see me, and he doesn't take checks.

Jackson TN - Early European-American settlement began along the Forked Deer River before 1820, primarily by migrants from eastern areas of the Upper South, such as Virginia and Kentucky. Originally named Alexandria, the city was renamed in 1822 to honor General Andrew Jackson, a hero of the War of 1812.

The check remains in Crisp Uncirculated unissued condition just as CG Bond received it over 120 years ago.
