Arianna Baby Vac Vacuum Nasal Aspirator, Nose Cleaner

Content of the set: set of 8 Vacuum Nasal Aspirator

About Arianna Baby vac: A running nose for babies and toddlers is very common. One of the major problems is that a small child is not yet capable to blow his/her nose and it will take some time before an infant or a baby will learn to breathe through the mouth. Snuffles will hinder breathing, make them feel discomfort, and may lead to more serious health problems concerning the ear, nose, throat and the inferior respiratory tracts. Therefore it is very important to keep the nasal cavity clear. The Arianna Baby-Vac Nasal Aspirator is by far the best alternative for this purpose.

Naturally, a check-up by a health professional is not replaceable. Only a doctor can diagnose the cause of a nasal secretion. The removal of secretion from the nasal cavities will accelerate recovery in case of sickness, improve breathing and general well-being, and help in the prevention of disease.

Using the Arianna Baby-Vac: Place  the  child  or  infant in a sitting / upright position. We recommend to hold the child in your lap until he/she feels comfortable with this apparatus. Position the evacuator (A - check picture 4.) so that it should fully seal one of the nostrils and hold it there for a couple of seconds while observing the discharge being deposited in the collecting cylinder. (B - check picture 4.) You may gently rotate the evacuator in a circular motion. Repeat this process in the same or/and the other nostril daily or as needed.

STERILIZATION: Clean the units before and after each use by washing it with  hot  soapy  water.  Rinse  with  hot or warm water. Do not use any detergents, chemicals or abrasive materials on it.

ASSEMBLY:
1) Insert the evacuator (A - check picture 4.) into the collecting cylinder (B - check picture 4.)
2) Turn on your household vacuum cleaner.
3) Insert the vacuum cleaner adapter (C - check picture 4.) into the
attachment hose on the vacuum.

disASSEMBLY:
1) Remove the vacuum cleaner adapter (C - check picture 4.) from the operating vacuum, and then turn it off.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Baby-Vac

Isn't it too drastic to clean a baby's nose with a vacuum cleaner?

No, it isn't. As the apparatus sucks with the help of the vacuum cleaner, but not with its strength. The apparatus adjusts itself. As the vacuum cleaner makes it possible to suck continuously, the secretion can be removed from all parts of the nose.

Isn't it painful to use the Baby-Vac? Isn't it unpleasant?

Children usually don't like if somebody is picking their nose, but an ear-ache and other complications can be more serious. If the secretion is not removed properly with the help of the Baby-Vac these complications are more likely to develop.

Can the Baby-Vac used in case of infants?

Yes, of course, mainly if the baby cannot breathe through its nose or if the nose is snuffled. When a baby can not breathe through its mouth, it can neither suck or sleep.

How often should the Baby-Vac be used?

As often as the child snuffles or his/her nose needs to be blown.

Are there any side-effects of the Baby-Vac?

No, there aren't. Similar to blowing your nose.

Is it necessary to use a vacuum cleaner/hoover?

The secretion can not be removed from the nasal cavities, unless you have strong continuous suction.

Isn't the child afraid of the Baby-Vac?

It depends on the child. Some of them are afraid at first, but later they get used to it. Some children even try to use it alone, but it's better if the parents use the apparatus.

Is the procedure sterile enough?

The Baby-Vac doesn't need to be sterile. It's enough to sterilize the evacuator (A) by putting it into boiling water occasionally. If you use it continually it's enough to wash the whole apparatus with hot soapy water and then rinse it.
