Front Brake Hydraulics
The entire brake operation depends solely on the hydraulic pressure and various hydraulic devices that amplify the force and actuate the brakes for effective and safe braking. When the brake pedal is pressed by the driver, a piston is compressed within the brake booster or vacuum assist which amplifies the force and compresses the master cylinder. The master cylinder consists of two pistons to control two braking circuits . This helps to distribute the braking force to at least one brake circuit in case there is a leak or defect on the other. This is called dual-circuit braking. Now due to hydraulic pressure, the brake fluid is pressurized and hydraulic pressure is applied at the slave piston located at each wheel on the calipers or inside the drums. The movement of these slave pistons causes the vehicle to stop.
