5 Brightness

there is no actual on/off switch. The reticle selector dial is on the outside of the battery compartment. There is an 'R' and a 'G' position; R for red, G for green, the colors of the reticles. In either the R or G position the device is turned off. Selecting any of the numbers between 1 and 5 in either color turns it on

the lowest settings would be best for dusk/night and the brightest settings show up clearly in the bright daylight when you need them, but the middle brightness works in the daylight

you should turn up the brightness until you can see the dot
