The glass jar is 4" tall by 3 1/4" wide in a very dark blue color.  Around the outside are 3 gold metallic trees.  It's wide enough for a 3" wide pillar or a full size votive candle.  It could also be used a drinking glass or flower vase.  I've owned this about 25 years.  There are some scratches on the trees, but no chips or breaks in the glass.  No wax residue.
