Significance: Probably built about 1803; sold in 1816 to Ephraim Williams; in 1839 to Dr. Stephen W. Williams; in 1857 to John Birge; later to Miss Theoda Dickinson; later to Dr. R.N. Porter. Owned by the Deerfield Academy since 1956. Two-story wood frame, clapboards. Five-bay front parallel to street, gable roof. Central hall plan, two chimneys set behind ridge. Door with pilasters, cornice, semicircular transom light. Small porches on north and south sides. Two-story ell in rear.
