Cotre Golf Original Golf Putter Head Cover Rising Dragon

Description

Rising Dragon

This putter cover is a completely original product through and through, from the design, to the embroidery, to the selection of fabric. Our primary business is in lacquered putter shafts, but we decided to also make putter covers to match the shaft designs. We're passionate about making completely unique products that are good-looking and stylish. We offer 5 types of putter shafts and 5 types of putter covers that feature designs of symbols of good luck in Japan.

For the Japanese, the rising dragon is an expressive symbol that connotes daring resolution, courage, and vitality. The dragon lords over a jewel that is said to be a sacred orb that can cure illness, avert disasters, and grant any imaginable wish. According to lore, the dragon was an angel that fell from the heavens above, and is a symbol of good fortune in Japan.

Mr. Ishizaki made use of top-level Japanese embroidery techniques and vibrant colors to create the Rising Dragon design. As an apprentice, Mr. Ishizaki won the favor of an embroidery master who headed the embroidery society in Kyoto, and was able to master the art of Japanese embroidery.
This unique product is made in one of the few factories that do koma embroidery, a uniquely Japanese technique. The threading is done with rayon and gold threads, and beautiful color combinations and special techniques are used generously to give the embroidery a 3D look.

The Rising Dragon design, with beard and scales, is embroidered in splendid detail. The vibrant form of the dragon soaring up above renders a vivid presence on the putter cover. A full moon in bright red and black clouds on the sides complement the vibrant energy of the dragon as it soars upward.

This product is 100% made in Japan. Surely Hideki Matsuyama, the first Japanese Masters champion, would be proud to have it on his clubs. It would go well with putters such as the Scotty Cameron used by Tiger Woods or the Bettinardi and Piretti putters used by US Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick

The putter cover, in a chic base tone of black, is most suitable for putters with PING type heads. The opening is made of magic tape, and is sized perfectly to fit on the putter without coming off. It holds firmly and does not slip off easily. Weighing approximately 63 grams, it is approximately 17 cm long, 7 cm wide, and 14 cm high. It will stand out, no matter the caddy bag. It will have your golf friends asking, "Where did you find such a nice putter cover?"

Golf isn't just about the score. It's normal for golfers to also get excited about the clubs, caddy bags, and golf attire. Having unique luxury putter covers and head covers that set you apart will deepen your enjoyment of golf. We would be proud if you would choose Rising Dragon to be by your side on the golf course or driving range.

About Cotre GOLF
COTRE Golf is a company started by professional golfer Tomoya Takemura in 2017. In addition to competing around Japan as a professional golfer, he is the chairman of Golf Stage Frio, a golf school in Iga City, Mie Prefecture.

In 2017, he simultaneously started a caddie outsourcing business in Shiga Prefecture with only one contractee, and is now operating in neighboring prefectures of Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, and the entire Kansai region. His company is also doing full-scale sales of putter-related products from 2021, selling them around the world through the internet, mainly on eBay.

Origin of the name Kotori Golf

Co: connection
T: trust
Re: result

A person who took great care of Tomoya Takemura said that if the company could accumulate these three things, it would  be able to progress forward, and thus was adopted as the company name. The Japanese translation of the word Birdie is also “Kotori” or small bird. Beyond the introduction of our store in 2021, original putter-related products were planned, and with the cooperation of top figures from various fields, they were successfully made. There are 5 main types of lacquered putter shafts. Each has a one-sided lacquered shaft, as well as an uncoated portion with a bare finish that makes the best of the originality of the each product.

The shafts were created in collaboration with Zohiki, a Kyoto-based company originating in 1661, resulting in the world’s first product of this kind. This was a first in Zohiko’s more than 300-year history where a shaft has been lacquered, essentially breaking the mold in the world of lacquering. Five types of original putter covers were produced to match the designs and are all available for purchase.

The embroidery was commissioned to Ishizaki from Japanese Embroidery, one of Japan’s top embroiderers, who completed the work. Ishizaki is one of the few true craftsmen in Japan who is able to embroider pieces. The original putter head is a work of art filled with attention to detail.

After a year of repeated trial-and-error with an East-Osaka Putter Manufacturer who manufactures various putters on an OEM basis (company name is a secret), the resulting product was a pin-type putter with a beautiful form and comfortable balance. The putter is finished with a rainbow paint, resulting in a one-of-a-kind work of art. The coating changes subtly depending on the angle and humidity, and no two putters are exactly alike.
