Up for sale is an 1832 copy of "ATLAS TO MARSHALL'S LIFE OF WASHINGTON". This was the atlas volume that accompanied John Marshall's two volume work titled "Life of Washington" published in 1832.

 John Marshall (1755-1834) was the fourth chief justice of the United States Supreme Court, whose family was associated with Washington since the War of Independence. These maps illustrate and enhance the history some of Washington's most important battles.

This book is in good condition. Boards are straight with rounded corners. Shelf wear/rubbing/chipping/fraying to the boards along the edges, corners and at the top/bottom of the spine panel. Shelf wear/rubbing/soiling to the front/rear boards as well as along the spine panel. Previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown.  Hinges are tight and maps are tight within the binding. Foxing throughout the text block as well as some rippling where the pages at one time had been exposed to moisture. There are no other marks, tears, bookplates or writing in these books.
