Description: Source unknown, to be determined. Provenance: Doublet of the Albertina collection, Vienna (Lugt 5f)

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jean Sauveur LeGros' after own design. Jean Sauveur/Salvator LeGros (1754-1834) originated from Versailles. He trained with Adam Bartsch and tyravelled extensively before settling in Belgium.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Ruine du jardin de M.r le Vicomte de Walckiers 1789.' - View of the ruins in the garden of viscount de Walckiers. Three figures with a small herd of sheep rest beside the stream which passes through the ruin.

Condition: Very good, given age. Small margins, remains of attachment to carrier to the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 17.7 x 13.7 cm. The image size is ca. 17.3 x 13.2 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 7 x 5.4 inch. The image size is ca. 6.8 x 5.2 inch.
