1647 Dippers Dipt PURITAN Daniel
Featley Anabaptist History Baptism Baptist RARE
Daniel Featley was a 17th-century
English Puritan preacher known for his Calvinistic views. His best, and
consequently most controversial work was ‘The
Dippers Dipt’ – a collection of articles, essays, speeches, and letters
over Anabaptist views of baptism (including child baptism), prayer, the role of
clergy, and oaths within the church. This work has long since served as an
important history of the Anabaptists during 17th-century protestant
reforms.
