This post card was never mailed. The image is from the Grogan Photo Company, a famous post card company that started in London England and ended up with a branch office in Danville, IL where this card comes from. The Chicago Zoological Park is better known as the Brookfield Zoo and opened in 1934. This image had to be a lucky one as Grogan was shooting images of the newly opened Zoo and Mama Hippo could not wait. We have 2 other cards for this Zoo listed.    1121
