The International Electric Railway Company Crystal Palace 

**Two signed notes in 1883 from the naturalised Austrian Inventor, Henry Bock Binko. He writes to the Metropolitan [Underground] Railway offering to construct their proposed line from South Kensington to the Albert Hall.**

Binko was the first to construct and operate an Electric Railway carriage, which he successfully demonstrated at Crystal Palace in 1881 and the Forestry Exhibition in Edinburgh in 1884.
