internally bears the old ownership bookplate of Ann Savours Shirley.
Ann Margaret Savours Shirley (9 November 1927 – 8 October
2022) was a British historian of polar exploration, covering both the Arctic
and Antarctic. She was most widely known for her study of Robert Falcon Scott's
ship HMS Discovery.
Savours Shirley was a member of the Cambridge Spitsbergen
Physiological Expedition in 1955, and the Australian National Antarctic
Expedition in 1960
CONDITION
Some corner bumps, light wear and minor marks else covers in
good general condition, internally endpapers foxed and browned, page edges
browned within with some occasional foxing else in nice general condition.
