Mo Xiong was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu in 1960, and his ancestral home is Shaoxing, Zhejiang. In 1986, he graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts with a bachelor's degree and stayed on to teach there. Now a member of China Artists Association.
