This is one of several cards I will be posting from the Battle set Topps produced in 1965.  Please check my eBay store for other Battle listings as well as other vintage pre-1970 non-sports cards such as Civil War News, Mars Attacks, Superman, Horrors of War, 3 Stooges, Space Cards, Target: Moon, Sea Raiders, and many others.

Note: the photos provided do serve as a "visual description" for this item, so please look closely at all of the pictures and determine if this card is acceptable.

You are purchasing a 1965 Topps Battle - #58 "Japanese Soldier." A very colorful card and a hard card to find in any condition.

I would describe this card as in "fair-good" condition. There are NO creases. A card that I would proudly display.

The 1965 Topps Battle cards comprise of a 66-card set. The first 53 cards depict battle scenes while the last 14 cards have 2 checklists and highlights of the WW II Allied leaders and fighting forces. These cards show through sensational bloody scenes battles during World War II. Additionally, every pack of cards originally came with a 1 of 24 cloth emblem card. These are extremely difficult to obtain.

This card will make a great addition for your set building, or an excellent starter card if you are starting your 1965 Topps Battle Cards collection!

I have been collecting these classic collectible cards since their release in the mid 1960's. They are a interesting source of history from the mid 20th century and especially World War II. Like the Horrors of War set from 1938, there "might be" a bit of propaganda regarding the Axis forces during that time in our history. These cards like the 1962 Topps Civil War News cards were done by the famous artist, Norm Saunders. Cards come with a great writeup on their backs pertaining the front's picture.
