As you know the original Control4 C4-HC-300 Power Supply PUS15 are failed !  so if your unit is dead most probably it will fix it ...or call your C4-dealer and buy anew core E1 for 10-20 time more $$
Heavy duty at the same old price Not direct fit ! but simply cut and connect as picture
Here we offer Aftermarket one Not made by Control 4 - it has a better capacitor and performance.
Installation will take about 30-45 min (need to cut the old wire and connected to the new PSB)
Do not power before everting is hooked in place ! see picture you will need to cut wires and screw it into this PSB
This is not OME it will need to be install as picture show (include exposer of the wires end)

Step 1. You ,ay see short Youtube use the words " HC300 Repair DYI $100" to search

Lift up the corners of the rubber feet to reveal the screw locations, there is one screw on either end of each foot. Remove all 4 screws.

Step 2.
With the feet removed, you will now have access to the 8 screws that hold the shell together. Remove all 8 screws. Remove the bottom panel.

Step 3.
Slide the top cover towards the back of the unit, to expose the inside of the enclosure.

Step 4.
This is the inside of the unit. The power supply is located at the top left of this picture. This is what you will be replacing. Make sure dis connect the supply back up from mains power.

Step 5. Make sure the power cord is disconnected !!!
Cut the wire close to the Power supply
Disconnect both connectors, one is the input (left) and one is the supply output (right). They just unclip or cut. and unscrew the 4 screws that secure the power supply to the base of the enclosure. expose ¼” of each end of the wire (4 wire total)

Step 6.
Insert the new power supply and reconnect the input and output connectors as show the color is important and so is the location (3 connectors are getting the 110V In  brown wire in 2nd position from left see pictures and ground is in 3rd (central))( the 2 connectors are 5V out to the unit brown wire close to RED controller) (misconnecting will result in blowup the PSB) an fasten the board to the base of the enclosure with the 1 screw only You must make sure the new PSB is not touching the body of the unit and use the rubber leg to prevent it from happen see pictures (you need to use the rubber lag under it as a spacer.

Make sure to flow to color wire as show in the picture

Step 7.
Reassemble the enclosure. Once reassemble, you can plug the HC-300 into mains power and test. the LED light on the PS will turn on first  The blue Power LED will come on again and it will be back in action.

*** We recommend to use the rubber mat/legs in the process to avoid shortage

Limited warranty is limited to the PSB and it actual valued paid only we are not responsible to any mistakes in installation damages, and we recommended to use your AV integrator to do that work. We recommend reading and flow the electric code at your state   -we don't suggest replacing the code with the instruction provide here. if there is any conflict the local    code is superior to the manual .
