This is an eye-catching Mid-Century Silver Plate 3 Sconce Candle Holder. The candle holder has a round base with a red baize underside to avoid scratching your table. The diamond shaped frame rises from the base with the three sconces mounted on the top of it. The candle holder dismantles by unscrewing the sconces from the frame and then the frame from the base, which makes it very easy to clean.

The candle holder is made in Birmingham by Ian Heath Ltd under their IANTHE trade mark. Established in the early 1950s, the company produced a wide range of silver plated items through until around 1980. They are best known for their candle holders and candlesticks in both modern and Georgian styles.

Condition is very good, with no dings or dents and no significant plate loss, just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs as these form part of the description.

The candle holder stands 17cm / 6.7ins high, is 19.2cm / 7.5ins across and the base is 8.5cm / 3.3ins in diameter. It weighs in at 344.7g / 12.1oz

The side of each base is marked Silver Plated and IANTHE of England.
