Bottom is embossed T48

Cork top closure (not screw cap)

Side seams end before reaching lip at top

Probably hand-blown

Probably pre-1930’s

These commonly found bottles date from as early as the 1870sup to the early 1940’s.  Chas. H. Fletcher’s Castoria was a very popular brand of laxative compound, sold as a substitute for castor oil.  There is a huge amount of research available on this product.  This bottle is probably from the 1920’s,possibly earlier.
