A Charles Parker Co. Walnut Piano Stool C. 1877-1900.

The Charles Parker Co. manufactured furniture, lamps and other wood and metal objects in Meriden, Ct. from 1877 through the early 1900s.

This is a lovely Walnut Piano Stool in antique condition. It has a lovely patina. The height adjustment mechanism is in great working order; the stool swivels smoothly and the legs are sturdy. At its upmost height, there is some wobble due to its age.

There is some paint splatter noted in the photographs and priced accordingly.

It has 4 beautifully turned legs and a center post. Each of the 4 legs have a metal claw foot that grips a glass ball. We believe the claws are brass. Do to age the glass balls have some chips in them This piece has an adjustable swivel seat that spins effortlessly. The height can be adjusted by simply spinning the seat clockwise or counterclockwise, respectively. The cast metal hardware is original and is a bit rusty in spots. The piece roughly measures 19" tall with the seat down and just over 23" tall when the seat is completely raised. The seat diameter is 14". This old piano stool is still usable; A lovely addition to your home decor indeed.
