This is an army-issue tam o shanter to the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The size is 54cm. Please see head-sizing chart below.
The tam is made from a smooth, khaki wool which is in excellent shape.
The inner, black-cotton lining is present and in excellent shape.
The badge is an anodised-metal version and this is in very good condition. It rests nicely on its Goverment-tartan backing-patch. Behind this is the purple hackle of the 7th battalion. This is in very good shape.
Weight is 152g.

Tips on How to Measure your Head Size
MEASURE: You can use a tape measure or a length of string that you will have to hold up to a tape measure to determine the length. Place the string or tape around you head about 1/8” above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Basically you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
SIZING TIPS:
1. Small is usually 55cm, medium is usually 57cm, Large is usually 59cm, X-Large is usually 61cm and 2X-Large is usually 63cm.
2. On any style of hat, we highly recommend getting a centimetre or inch measurement of your head size before placing an order.
