Description - Rare early 20th century good heavy gauge solid silver double compartment vesta case of rectangular curved plain form with a spring loaded hinged lid, match striker at the base and silver-gilt (gold washed) interior
Made by renowned silversmith's Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd
Fully hallmarked with the leopards for London assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter "P" for the year 1921 and the maker's mark "G & S Co LTD" which is Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd
Condition - In very good condition, interior silver-gilt bright but has some thinning
hinged lid tight, strong and secure.
