Antique Vulcanized Fibre E Cartiere Prealpine Suitcase, Made in Milan Italy. This was my father’s suitcase that he used while traveling abroad in the early part of the 1900’s. It’s in fair condition with working front latches, worn interior fabric, 11 small holes that were drilled around the right front latch. and a loose rear support piece. The application for this would be more ornamental rather than for modern day travel. The exterior shows the kind of wear and character you’d expect from such a vintage piece of luggage.

Vulcanized fiber was used in suitcases and trunks during this time period due to their strength and light weight.
