CONTROLS:

Controlled via a four-knob interface, it couldn't be easier to dial in the exact result that you need - and an intuitive gain reduction indicator gives clear visual feedback on the amount of compression being applied at any time.
The pedal's controls interact with each other intelligently - when you turn a knob, numerous interlocked parameters are adjusted under the hood at once. MDP TECHNOLOGY:

At the heart of the CP-1X is Boss's fantastic MDP engine which analyses the complex tonalities of your guitar in real-time (frequency, overtones, dynamics, pickup response, and more), providing natural compression that can intelligently follow and adapt to your playing whilst allowing the true tone and technique of your instrument to shine through, however aggressive your settings. Various playing characteristics are analyzed as well, such as note register, single notes vs. chords, bends, vibrato amount, and others. Each individual element is then processed in unique ways to produce optimized tones as you play.

A 16-segment gain reduction indicator clearly displays the compression amount, making it easy to see what the pedal is doing.
