Original 1933 8-page British herald for STROM AT DAYBREAK starring Kay Francis and Nils Asther. A cast list, programme timetable and newsstand-style ad for the film are inside.

Also inside: a double-page feature on INTERNATIONAL HOUSE (W. C. Fields); a full-page still of Sylvia Sidney; and a double-page feature on CHANNEL CROSSING (Constance Cummings).

Very good condition.

The Stoll Picture Theatre was one of London’s premier cinemas in the 1930s and boasted having Britain’s largest screen. Every week the cinema produced an attractive 8-page herald which announced the films showing that week and the coming week. The heralds measure 5½” by 8¾” and feature a colourful red, yellow and blue logo on the front cover, and usually contain one or two impressive double-page features inside, as well as a full-page ad for one of the films. Additionally, cast lists for each film are listed, along with a programme listing the times that the films will be showing (along with times for short films, news, trailers and the national anthem), and a full-page back-cover newsstand-style ad (text only) in red, blue, black and white.
