Antique Print-RELIGION-HERMIT-EUPHRAXIA-Vos-ca. 1620

Description: Published by Thomas le Leu in Paris. Ref: Copy set E after NH 933.

Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Maarten de Vos'. Maarten de Vos (1532-1603) was an Antwerp painter and draughtsman of the late sixteenth century. His travels to Italy made him adopt the Mannerist style. His designs were very popular and were followed widely.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Euphraxia Romaqna. Discedit Roma, fugiens Euphraxia [...]' - Landscape with the hermit Euphraxia.

Condition: Good, given age. Cut near the plateline. Attached to carrier sheet at top corners. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
