A lovely work on fishing in the lochs of Scotland. Written under the pseudonym of 'Black Palmer'. Detailing the required equipment, flies, tackle, etiquette, casting, trolling, capture and lures, as well as a chapter of reminiscences.Written under the pseudonym 'Black Palmer'. With blanks in-between the pages to allow for the reader to add their own notes.


**William Blackwood and sons. Edinburgh and London. MDCCCLXXXII. 1882. "Black Palmer". Bound in a contemporary half calf binding with marbled boards and raised spines. Black leather title label to the spine, in gilt. Measurin: 18.2cm x 12.6cm. Pagination: [7], viii, [3], 2-81, [1]pp. Illustrated with a few small woodcuts to the text. **

Condition: See photos as part of condition report:  Bound in a contemporary half calf binding. Holding firm, rubbed to the extremities, Gilt still bright to the spine. some scuffing to the calf corner pieces. Text block firm, collates as complete with all pages present, including the blanks bound in for the reader to make there own notes. the blanks are clean, occasional marginalia to the text in pencil. Light foxing to the title and occasional spotting to the text. The original front cover and spine pasted into the back endpapers.
