This motor provides a lot of suction and power and works well.   If your vacuum seems to lack power first put your hand over the front hose opening and if you feel a lot of suction then take the old woven hose and cover it with duct tape or gaffing tape.  That will restore your vacuum's power.

If there is no suction at the front (and you changed or removed the bag) or your motor is screeching, etc, then here is a good replacement assembly.  You just unscrew the cover from the back, undo the screws for the wires at the switch, pull the old one out and shove this one in and you are back in business.
