THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN USED VINTAGE FELT CAP  TITLED "DAMASCUS GREEN HORNETS, FORD. B.M. WOODFIRLD &SON, PRESUMABLY FROM THE END OF THE 50's or VERY EARLY 60's"   

APPROXIMATELY 5 INCHES TALL AND 9 inches wide.

Several dirty areas all around, otherwise  a clean item.

Mr. Woodfield had been a partner in the cab business with Lee Barnes since the mid-1960s. He also operated a Ford dealership in Gaithersburg and earlier had owned a Damascus Ford-Mercury dealership with his father, Bradley M. Woodfield. He also was a part owner of Charles Town Races in West Virginia.

Mr. Woodfield was a native of Damascus and a graduate of Damascus High School. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He served in the Army in the Far East during World War II.

Mr. Woodfield was a director of the Bank of Damascus, commander of the town's American Legion post and a member of the Elks and Lions Club there. He also belonged to Manor Country Club.
