Large Sachsen / Saxony map with ornate cartouche and map key, along with a city locator on both sides; by Matthaeus Seutter circa 1750; on heavy laid paper with blank verso to which has been affixed a period label in Latin. Trimmed to neat line and folded for travel use which has kept the period hand coloring remarkably fresh; very clean, with a good impression. Would look beautiful matted and framed. Worn through at a few of the fold vertices, with a 1cm separation at one. Absolutely guaranteed original antique copperplate map circa 250 years old. | |
