Original steel-plate engraving of northern Italy, the procince of Lomabardia-Venetia which at the time belonged to the Hapsburg Austrian Empire. This map was just before the Austrian revolution. An excellent inset map of Venice with it's islands, as well as one of Mantua. From an edition of the Schweinfurt Geographical Institute in Hildburghausen.This organization was responsible for a number of high-quality maps in the mid-1800s. A good size map, the demnsions given are of the image. A blank verso on heavy paper. A few toning spots, else very good. Please see scan for exact condition.
