This auction is for:~ A lovely decorative plate

One of the set of these rare plates that i am selling at the moment (i am also selling plates from the later set bought out by Compton and Woodhouse)

Made By :~ Royal Worcester it is from the rare 1st series of plates from the early 1970's

Bought out in a limited annual edition (1 plate produced each year from 1972 till 1983) and this plate is the lovely :~

Lovely bas-relief design ~ beautifully modelled and hand painted and embellished in 22 carat gold and a single gold spot to show which way up the plate is to be displayed to show it's true potential 

The fourth picture shows one of the original receipts of one of these plates when it was purchased from Harrods Knightsbridge at a price of £109.00 (receipt not included)

It measures approximately 9" inches in diameter

It is in excellent condition no damage or wear

It is fully backstamped as per picture and comes with a Birds of Dorothy Doughty Dessert plates full colour booklet depicting all the plates and info about them that was available in this first set
