This is an economical way to give the appearance that an alarm system is installed in your vehicle. The blinking light is particularly visible in the dark and can provide deterrence to potential thieves roaming around at night looking for a vehicle to break into. This LED requires a 12 V. positive and ground connection which may be actuated by means of a hidden switch or may be wired hot to flash continuously (LED consumes very little current 20 - 30 mA).

This LED may be mounted on the dash of a car, truck, van, etc, or may be used as an external indicator on locking boxes for contractor / mechanic / work vehicles, etc. The mere appearance of an alarm indicator light is very likely to prevent whatever you are protecting from being burglarized or vandalized. The chrome bezel gives that classic old school look while the black plastic gives a modern look.
