There’s nothing more
Danish than burning candles. These
Stainless Steel Dana Scandinavian Candle Holders date to the 1960s and are
considered Minimalist Mid-Century Modern and have a Contemporary Design. These Candle
Holders are in great condition as shown in the photographs provided and measure
approximately 7x6x3½. These are marked
Dana Stainless Steel DFA Denmark. Please look closely at the photographs as
they are considered a part of my description.
The Danish word for candle is a bit of a giveaway when it comes to their
obsession – levende lys. It means “living light” and that’s pretty much what it is.
Candles flicker all times of the year in Denmark, but especially in the fall
and winter. Denmark has
always been known for its traditions and exquisite designs and is known for coining the term “hygge” (pronounced hoo-ga)
to describe an atmosphere or situation that is cozy and is a sense of pure
contentment. Let these candle holders provide your home with a
cozy atmosphere and pure contentment. One of the
most iconic Danish design pieces was the egg chair of the 1960s, designed by
Arne Jacobsen in 1958.
I hope I did not bore you too much with all this fun information.
