This RCA Twin Phono cable is usually used to transfer left and right (usually red and white or black) audio between two pieces of audio equipment e.g TV to surround sound, Cd player to amplifier etc etc. Gold connectors achieve better conductivity and provides a better signal with minimal loss of quality.
In the UK RCA Sockets are usually colour coded Red and White (to identify left and right). However, there is no difference other than the colour so if you opt for the value Red and Black range you can simply connect the black to a white socket and achieve the same results.
