BRONZE AKTIEN-GESELLSCHAFT HERMANN H GLADENBECK FOUNDRY Bust Woman SCULPTURE.

This is an exceptional miniature bronze made in the Aktien-Gesellschaft Gladenbeck Foundry. Aktien-Gesellschaft Gladenbeck was a foundry located in Berlin, Germany, that operated from 1851 until 1926. During the 75-year period when the foundry was in operation it was one of the most important foundries in Germany and was known for producing high quality bronze castings. Statue dates to the turn of the Century. It is rare to find piece made by the factory. Many were destroyed during the war. Overall, the statue is 7.25 inches tall. Bronze itself is 3 inches tall. Expect some wear but overall good condition. This is a superb example of a late 19th Century Neoclassical statue.
