A mask based on that worn by British and French tank crews during WWI. These 'splatter masks' were used to protect the occupants of a tank from sharp shards of steel that sheared off the inside of the hull when it was struck by rifle fire.

This model has a steel base, hardened to hold shape and lightly oil blued to provide a protective finish. This is leather covered and mild steel chainmail is suspended from the eyelets.

Changes

-Chainmail now held on by Rubber forms rather than eyes, more authentic

-Back leather now a soft chamois, more authentic and comfortable for wear
