THE IMAGE: DAVID CROSBY (with Neil Young & Greg Reeves) - December 21, 1969
ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHY capturing Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at San Diego's Balboa Stadium. The year was 1969, Crosby, Stills & Nash had released their debut album and were ready to begin their first (loosely organized) tour. From the very first shows (in Chicago, August 16th, 1969), Neil Young was already on board. The band's second concert ever would become legendary - The Woodstock Festival, on August 18th. Later, they would be captured on film again in "Celebration At Big Sur." By December of 1969, CSNY were a well-oiled machine, which is why the Balboa show is a bootleg favorite among fans. Which is where this ORIGINAL image of David Crosby, Neil Young (well, his back, anyway) and bassist Greg Reeves was taken, live from the stage. Crosby's ever-present and expressive eye contact illustrates the improvisational tight rope act CSNY specialized in during these early, historic performances. Believe it or not... within only a year, in July 1970, this original version of CSNY would break up. Look for additional sizes and images from this artist in our store. NOTE: The "copyrights" on the jpeg are NOT on the image you're buying. The Limited Edition # is an EXAMPLE NUMBER only.
