Bei der Durchführung von Motortuning, sollte der Auspuffkrümmer ganz am Anfang ersetzt werden, weil die Abgase, die aus dem Zylinder ausgestoßen werden, genau zum Auspuffkrümmer gehen, der Teil des Motorkörpers ist, dann werden sie zum ersten Abschnitt des Auspuffrohrs geleitet, dann zum Schalldämpfer, oder mehreren Schalldämpfern in Reihe und dann zum Auslassteil des Auspuffrohrs.
