USS Comstock: This 457 foot Casa Grande Class Landing Ship was commissioned in 1945. 

She was built at Newport News Shipbuilding. She was assigned to the

Pacific after WWII ended. She was active during the Korean War earning ten battle stars.

She also earned five Vietnam Campaign stars. In 1984 she was acquired by Taiwan and served

until sunk on an artificial reef in 2015.
