This is a Queen Elizabeth II period Imperial Service Medal for Faithful Service that has the name ALFRED BALL stamped onto the edge.
The medal comes in its original box with extra piece of ribbon. This then comes in its original cardboard packaging.
The display box is branded Royal Mint on the inner lid.
So who was Alfred Ball and what did he get this for ?
There is an ext. famous Alfred Ball, but how would one know if this was his. Surely this medal would have ALL his names on the edge and his rank ?! more questions than answers with this medal.
Worthy of a little more research ! But I am afraid I have no time for that, I am busy buying, listing and wrapping.
Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself.
