Description: This is Ortelius' third map of Denmark, first issued in 1595.. It shows many more details within Denmark and was improved cartographically as well. Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Daniae Regni Typus. - Cimbricae Chersonesi nunc Iutiae.' - This very decorative map shows Denmark and Jutland. The overview of Denmark was made by Cornelius, son of Antonius, while the Jutland map was designed by Marcus Jordanus.
Condition: Good, given age. Original middle fold as issued. Margins reinforced on rear. Worm holes in the bottom edge, near middle fold, backed with contemporary paper and acid free archival tape. Print has been in matting, some ghosting around the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
