These 8-pointed knobs are non-indicator type (no pointer or dot); ubiquitious since the 1940s on equipment from a variety of industries. 

From a bulk supply that could date to the 1970s, or as recent as the early 1990s.

There is no maker's code, mark, or printing on knobs like this; it may be a style or design licensed or contracted to a number of manufacturers and distributors over the years: HH Smith, Daka-ware, Rogan and probably others were sources for this style. 

Collet is likely aluminum or some lightweight alloy.

This for a large lot of fifty (50) knobs! Ideal if you have a small production facility or just lots of gear to restore.
