Created by Faiança Ideal, this gorgeous fish aquarium, made from Murano glass, has striking bold colors and fine details in the artwork.

Faiança Ideal is a family-owned business that was created in 1979 in Vale de Ourém – Batalha, Portugal. They use 3 main processes to create a piece: Slip Casting, Press Machine and Roller Machine. Once the piece is molded it is ready for firing and then glazing. They work with a variety of ceramic glazes, which are applied by spraying or dipping. A reactive glaze was used in this piece. Reactive glazes always react in a different way, so it gives singular features to each piece.

Murano is not a brand it is an Island in the North of Italy. Only glass made in the island of Murano can be marketed as Murano glass. You should look for the label of authentication found usually in the front, or on the bottom, of the piece and the piece should have a signature from the artist, usually underneath the piece.

YOU CAN VERIFY THE AUTHENTICITY OF MURANO ARTISTIC GLASS BY ENTERING ITS UNINOMINAL CODE, FOUND ON THE FRONT, OR BOTTOM OF THE PIECE, IN THE SEARCH TOOL BELOW.
