The Feather of Truth is a spectacular sculpture carved from a top quality quartz specimen from Brazil. An intricately detailed quartz crystal skeleton emerges from the crystal, holding a string of prayer beads in both hands. The quartz skull and skeleton have a frosted matte finish which provides a contrasting highlight to the polished quartz crystals at the base of the sculpture. Behind the crystal skeleton a feather is carved in relief, and on the opposite side the entire feather structure is featured. The details of the feather filaments on the back are also visible through of clear polished areas below the skeleton on The Feather of Truth sculpture. At the base, four quartz crystal terminations have been polished to complete the sculpture, and a hexagonal black obsidian base has been custom designed to display The Feather of Truth quartz crystal sculpture. The Feather of Truth is signed by Skullis master designer and artist Steven Z., who most recently brought us his Arrival of the Alien crystal skull sculpture! The Feather of Truth quartz crystal skeleton and feather sculpture measures 2.4 x 2.3 x 9.6 inches (60x59x245 mm), and the custom designed black obsidian stand measures 2.7 x 3.6 x 1.8 inches (69x91x46 mm). The combined weight of The Feather of Truth sculpture and stand is 2.71 pounds (1227 g).

Native American Plains Indians considered feathered headdresses to be highly spiritual and magical, and they were worn to protect the wearer from injury and harm. One would have to earn the feathers of a headdress through acts of bravery and good deeds for the community, each feather representing one deed.

As a Celtic symbol the feather again represents the knowledge of the spiritual realm, and feathers were used to invoke the sky gods to allow passage from the physical realm to the ethereal realm.

Egyptians also held the belief that feathers were symbolic of the gods of the sky, and after death the soul of a person would be weighed and compared to the weight of a feather to determine its worthiness.

In Christianity feathers have represented virtues, particularly three feathers together symbolized charity, hope, and faith, and a ring with a signet of three feathers was worn to symbolize a virtuous soul.
