Fan and Motor must have permanently lubricated sealed bearings, double insulated wall, rubber gasket for duct connection. Fan body must have high impact resistant polycarbonate casing for heavy duty application making it durable and rust resistant, Body of fan must be of double walled, insulated construction to reduce fan noise and eliminate condensation, Fan shall be configurable to allow for bracket mounting on wall or ceiling mount, vertical or horizontal, Quick clip Bracket included allows fan to be quickly installed and/or reconfigured. Fan must have integrated back‐ draft damper.

This item has been used for approximately 4 months. The fan has a 10 year warranty. The fan works in excellent condition. One of the plastic brackets cracked and I used duck tape to fix it, this has nothing to do with the functionality. The carbon filter has been used 4 months and still has at least 8 months left before washing. This type of filter can be run under water to clean the carbon and throw it in the dryer, brackets and all. This will restore the carbon for another year. The combo have many more years of excellent operation. The filter is very light compared to normal (uses powder carbon). Internal baffle in the fan to make it quieter. Will clean the air and smell for a large room. Never been exposed to high heat, pollen, pests, etc.
Retail on the fan is $250-$300 and the filter is $50 retail, for a total of $300-$350. Was bought brand new.
