I’ve been a discus breeder for years and I stumbled over the Ocean Free filter media product range about 6 months ago. It’s been a game changer!! Unlike many ceramic chips, rings or chunks, this is super porous and attracts a much higher growth of De-Nitrifying bacteria (that good stuff us fish keepers love) This product replicates some of the ultimate filter media but much cheaper. Like Biohome etc.

Note - for the average external filter - Fluval FX4 FX6 size wise, we recommend a Small/Medium bag That’s just over 2/3 full trays in the average external filter
