Description: This plate possibly orriginates from: 'Observations upon the Antiquities of the Town of Herculaneum' (London 1753, English edition, Paris 1754, French edition).
Artists and Engravers: Made by Charles Bellicard after own design. Jerome Charles Bellicard (Paris 1726-1786) was a French architect and engraver. In 1750 he travelled in Italy for 25 months, together with engraver Charles Nicolas Cochin II and architect Jacques-Germain Soufflot.
